The year 2020 marks seven years since Telegram came into existence. The year 2020 revealed how expedient it’s to engage in face-to-face communication, and the alpha version of telegram video calls is now available on both Android and iOS devices. Users can start a video call from their contact’s profile page, and also switch video on or off at any time during voice calls. Like all other video content on Telegram, video calls support picture-in-picture mode, allowing you to scroll through chats and multitask while maintaining eye contact.
Furthermore, All video calls are protected with an end-to-end encryption. In order to confirm users connection, one can try to compare the four emoji shown on-screen for users and chat partner – if they match, users call is 100% secured by time-tested encryption, which is also used in Telegram’s Secret Chats and Voice Calls.
