The Problem: People don’t know if their favourite stores have Apple Pay

When Apple Pay first launched, there was a lot of confusion about which stores accepted it.

Even now, there are still people who are unsure if their favourite stores accept Apple Pay. This can be frustrating, especially when you’re in a hurry and trying to check out quickly. We’ve found the answer for you: Target accepts Apple Pay.

With just a tap of your finger on your iPhone or iPad, or by using your fingerprint on your new Touch ID-enabled MacBook Pro, you can buy things from Target with one less card in your wallet.

You’ll even receive an email receipt from us after every purchase – no need to go hunting for paper ones anymore! The only thing you have to do is head over to our website, create an account (or log into your existing one), select Use Apple Pay, and then enter your credit card information.

Once that’s done, all you have to do is bring up the app at checkout and either hold it close to the contactless reader or use Face ID or Touch ID as instructed on the screen.

How to find out if a store accepts Apple Pay

You can use the Apple Pay website to find out which stores, restaurants, and other businesses accept Apple Pay.

Just look for the Apple Pay logo or the words Apple Pay at checkout. You can also ask the cashier if they accept Apple Pay. If you’re unsure, you can always look for the contactless payment symbol.

For example, Visa has a debit card with a credit card symbol on it. When you’re in front of the register and your card is about to be swiped, there will be an indicator light that either flashes green or red.

Green means that the transaction is going through without any problems, while red means that your card may not be accepted.

If this happens, tell the cashier why your card isn’t working (for example, my card doesn’t have a chip) and they should be able to help you get approved.

How to use Apple Pay in store

All registers at Target stores now accept Apple Pay, with the condition that you have a supported iOS device, such as an iPhone 6 or later with iOS 8.1 or later, or an iPad Pro, iPad Air 2, or iPad mini 3 or later with iOS 8.1 or later.

The latest version of the Target app must be installed on your device. Simply bring your device up to the contactless reader, place your finger on Touch ID, and let it scan.

After placing your iPhone close to the contactless reader, the Reader will make a chiming sound to indicate that your purchase has been successful.

Alternatively, if you haven’t enabled Touch ID on your device, simply enter your passcode or password before proceeding with payment processing. It should be noted that, with Apple Pay, there is no limit to how much you can spend in a single day.

For purchases that are larger than $25.00, it’s highly advised that you go through traditional checkout with a cashier. Amex; Bank of America; Bank of America; Wells Fargo; US Bank.
